About

Smoke Free Music is a place for you who are done with the smoke — or on the way there. No subscription, no ads, no tracking. Just music, made for the moment the craving comes.

The story behind the music

Pero Tudt smoked for forty-five years, and stopped in September 2026 — because a foot was going to be operated on. The songs here grew out of that. The story has its own page, with his own film: four minutes and fifty-one seconds, in his own voice, with English subtitles.

Why this place exists

Most advice about quitting is statistics, patches and pointing fingers. That is seldom what helps at nine in the evening on a Tuesday. A song lasts three minutes — about as long as a craving lasts. So that is what we made.

Every song here is written around a real life that nicotine has shaped. They are here to be listened to, not to lecture anyone.

Questions people ask

How long does a craving last?

A single craving usually lasts two to five minutes. In the first days they come close together, then they thin out fast. That is why a three-minute song can be enough.

Is it too late after forty years of smoking?

No. The body starts recovering within hours: the carbon monoxide in your blood is gone in a day, taste and smell come back within weeks. The risk keeps falling no matter how old you are when you stop.

Is Smoke Free Music only about cigarettes?

No. Snus, vapes, e-cigarettes and nicotine pouches speak the same language. Several of the songs are about nicotine itself, not the smoke.

Does it cost anything?

No. No ads, no subscription, no email address to hand over.

About the music

The songs are made locally, on a Mac, and the singing voice is synthetic — the words are ours. That is stated in every description, and nothing here pretends to be a recording of a person.

Your path

If you want to write down your own date, your reasons and what you notice, there is a page for that: Your path. It stays with you — nothing leaves your browser unless you send it in yourself.
